An existing 1850's butcher's shop was renovated upwards to take advantage of additonal bedroom and study space in view of the adjacent gum tree canopies.
Constructed in light weight timber frame and corrugated zincalume cladding, the addition features curved raked ceiling and polished timber flooring. |

High level windows open to to gain cross flow ventilation and additional filtered light through the gum tree leaves.
The project received a commendation award from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 1997. |
